The Police Command in Benue State has confirmed the arrest of one Matthew Bem for stabbing his wife to death.
According to reports, Bem stabbed his wife during a fight in Korinya, Konshisha Local Government Area of Benue state, on Tuesday.
The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Sewuese Anene, confirmed the development to the Newsmen in Makurdi.
Anene said the victim, Mngusonun Bem, was stabbed by her husband during an argument and she died shortly afterwards.
“He was fighting with his wife and he stabbed her during the fight and she died.”
She said Mr Bem was arrested and is in Police custody, adding that investigation is ongoing.
