Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Dr. Danladi Jatau has commended the Majority Leader of the State Assembly Hon. Suleiman Yakubu Azara for initiating impactful projects aimed at alleviating the plights of rural dwellers.
The Speaker gave the commendation while commissioning a magistrate Court built by the Majority Leader in Azara, Awe Local Government Area today.
It was reported that the atmosphere in Azara, Awe LG was high with resonated sounds of royal drums and trumpets as the Emir of Azara, Dr Kabiru Musa Ibrahim welcomed the Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Dr Danladi Jatau and the State Lawmakers among other dignitaries from far and near on the invitation of the State Majority Leader, Hon. Suleiman Yakubu Azara.
It was a three in one event, the wedding of his daughter Jameela and her husband Zakari, his turbaning ceremony as Santalma Azara and the commissioning of Magistrate Court he built in the area.
Speaker Jatau flanked by the State Parliamentarians and top government functionaries along side the traditional ruler commissioned the Magistrate Court built by the State Majority Leader Hon. Suleiman Yakubu Azara and commended him for initiating people driven projects aimed at alleviating the plights of the masses.
While at the palace, the Majority Leader Hon. Suleiman Yakubu Azara was turbaned with traditional title of Santalma Azara to appreciate his quality representation at the State Assembly, a crown the beneficiary said will be used to woo more development to Azara Administrative Area Council.
In the same vein, the event at the palace was climaxed with the tying of nuptial knut between Zakari Mohammed Nagoda and Jameela Suleiman Azara, daughter to the Majority Leader where the Chief Imam of Azara, Mallam Ibrahim Abdullahi called on the couple to adhere strictly to the sanctity of marriage.
He pronounced them as husband and wife after the payment of N200, 000. as dowry and fulfilments of other marriage rites.
The visit by the State Speaker and the Lawmakers to the area according to the Emir of Azara Dr Kabiru Musa Ibrahim is a demonstration of love that his subjects hold with high esteem, calling on the Assembly to continue to promulgate laws that will promote good governance in the State.
Praise singers were not also left out as they add colour to the event.
