Nasarawa Assembly hails NG-CARES for carrying out people’s oriented projects, assures of full support

Nasarawa State House of Assembly Committee on NASIEC, Multi-lateral Cooperation and Community Development has commended NG-CARES for executing projects that have direct bearing on the lives of the people of the State.

This, the Committee assures the agency of full support from the State Assembly to enable it achieve more and deliver on its mandate for the benefit of the people of the State.

The Chairman of the Committee and member representing Nasarawa Eggon East, Hon. Jacob Ajegana Kudu gave the commendation during an oversight function to assess the improvement and rehabilitation of rural roads executed by the NG-CARES from Kwandare to Awuma in Lafia and from Nassarawa Eggon to Arikya respectively today.

Hon. Kudu said that the projects executed by NG-CARES are in-line with Gov. Abdullahi Sule’s vision of providing infrastructure across communities of the State.

The Lawmaker expressed satisfaction with the completion of the 31.8 kilometer road from Nassarawa Eggon linking to Arikya as well as renovation of 2 classrooms in Alizaga community, provision of solar borehole ,toilet facilities in the area and the 5.3 kilometers road from Kwandare to Awuma.

The Committee Chairman said that the projects would go a long way in alleviating the sufferings being faced by the residents of the area and commuters plying the roads.

Hon. Kudu explained that NG-CARES has done quality work in all the projects sites visited so far and urged them to sustain the spirit.

He assured the State coordinator of the NG-CARES, Mr. Ibrahim Dahiru that the 7th Assembly under the leadership of Dr. Danladi Jatau would support them to succeed in providing laudable intervention projects that will impact positively on the lives of the citizens of the State.

Hon. Kudu appreciated Gov. Sule for his commitment towards supporting NG-CARES to execute projects that would improve on the standard of living of the people of the State.

He also assured that the committee would continue to monitor the activities of the organization to ensure that quality work are done across the State.

“And also to ensure transparency and accountability in line with Gov. Sule’s led administration vision” he said.

He called on the community leaders to take ownership of projects in their domains in their interest and for the overall development of their communities.

On his part, the State Coordinator of NG-CARES, Mr Ibrahim Dahiru assured the Committee that the organization would always ensure that quality works are done in all their project sites,

He added that over N100 million is budgeted for the improvement and rehabilitation of the NG-CARES rural road from Nassarawa Eggon to Arikya.

He appreciated Gov. Abdullahi Sule for prioritizing the activities of NG-CARES intervention projects at all times.

The Coordinator assured them that more projects will be executed by the State Government for the general well-being of the people in the State.

Also speaking, the Managing Director of the Twenty Zuhamasa Nigeria Limited who spoke through, Engineer Gabriel Oladunye assured that the company will justify the confidence reposed on them by the state government.

He assured that the roads from Nassarawa Eggon to Arikya and Kwandare to Awuma would be executed according to specifications.
