Islamic Cleric tasks couples on adherence to sanctity of marriage

The long waited dream between Musa Usman Maiduniya, the photographer of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly and Aishat Sidi was on Saturday accomplished as they were joined as husband and wife.

The marriage ceremony which took place at Baban Zauren Kofan Kaura behind Emir’s palace Lafia was well attended.

It was reported that at the venue of the wedding fatiha behind the palace of the Emir of Lafia, former and serving state lawmakers converged to witness the weeding ceremony of the assembly’s photographer, Musa Maiduniya and his spouse Aisha Sidi who agreed to become husband and wife.

In line with Islamic teachings, medical certificates were tabled and N200, 000 was given as bride prize.

The second in command in the Lafia emirate council, the Madaki Lafia, Alh. Isa’aka Dauda stood in for the bride family while the former Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi stood in for the groom’s family.

Accordingly, an Islamic cleric Mallam Jibrin Ibrahim Dahiru in line with Islamic teachings pronounced Musa Maiduniya and Aisha Sidi as husband and wife with a call on them to respect the sanctity of marriage.

This, he said will enable them have a peaceful, progressive and everlasting home.

Advising the couple, Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Dr. Danladi Jatau represented by Dr. Ibrahim Peter Akwe said patience, endurance and understanding are the ingredients that sustain marriage and asked them to love themselves wholeheartedly praying God to bless their new home.

Equally, the former Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi tasked Musa and Aisha to see marriage as a religion obligation that needs total loyalty as enshrined in the Holy Quran.

Balarabe Abdullahi who spoke on the significance of marriage to humanity enjoined them to be sincere and embrace understanding with forgiveness as well as avoid third party in their affairs.

Other speakers at the event which include Special Adviser to Gov. Sule on Legislative Liaison Hon. Muhammed Ibrahim Alkali, former member representing Toto/Gadabuke at the State Assembly Hon. Usman Labaran Shafa and the Clerk of the State Assembly Mr. Ibrahim Musa, Permanent Secretary Finance and Accounts of the House Alh. Alkali Haruna among others congratulated the couple and wish them all the blessings associated with matrimony.
