Mr David Abuluya, a national presidential aspirant of Eggon Cultural and Development Association (ECDA) Worldwide, has promised to revive the dying Eggon Community Secondary School in Nasarawa State, if given the mandate.

Abuluya, who is the Proprietor of Nacabs Polytechnic, Akwanga, made the pledge on Tuesday in Akwanga while addressing newsmen on his intention to contest for the position of National President of the association.

Abuluya said he would collaborate with other stakeholders of Eggon nation to resuscitate the school, if voted in November.

He said that reviving the school was to recover it from its lost glory and due to the importance of education to societal development.

The ECDA presidential aspirant also pledged to prioritise unity and peace of Eggon nation, if elected.

“I have plan, if given the mandate, first I will give unity and peace the top most priority as their importance to societal development couldnot be overemphasised.

“No society will achieve meaningful progress and development without peace.

“Secondly, by God’s grace, I will revive or resuscitate the dying Eggon Community Secondary School, Nassarawa Eggon.

“I will do that by collaborating with stakeholders of Eggon nation and I hope that if the school is revived, it will regain its lost glory.

“This is because the importance of education to the development of the country cannot be underrated,” he said.Abuluya solicited for the support of Eggon stakeholders to enable him emerge victorious.

He also called on the people of Eggon nation and Nigerians to continue to be law abiding, be their brother’s keepers and tolerate one another, irrespective of their affiliations.
