An Alternative Medicine Expert, Dr Emeka Chimezie, has urged the Federal Government to support and promote alternative medicine to boost and enhance the well-being of Nigerians to make them contribute to national development.
Chimezie made the call at a media conference/seminar on Thursday in Abuja.
The media conference/seminar, with the theme “Promoting Health Well-being Through Alternative Medicine”, was organised by Emiral Global and Abuja Women Dance.
Chimezie explained that alternative medicine had been in existence for over thousands of years, when there were no orthodox medicine, adding that they were effective.
“Emiral Elixir’ is a noble brand in alternative medicine, it is a product that God gave to humanity. One of the ingredients is called Asian Licorice.
“This can only be found in Cambodia, eastern part of Asia and Egypt.
“The Asian Licorice was used to produce sweet wine for Pharaohs then, which made them live longer and healthier.
“We call on the Federal Government to look into alternative medicine, support and promote it to enhance the well-being of Nigerians to make them contribute to national development.
“A lot of Nigerians are suffering from different illnesses.
“The Federal Government should support alternative medicine like Emiral Elixir to help provide alternative health solutions to Nigerians,” Chimezie said.
He added that when people have good herbs, and support from the government, Nigerians will live longer and be healthier.
According to him, some organisations usually carry out humanitarian work by giving out food to vulnerable and poor citizens without ascertaining if they people are healthy.
“If you give out food and the people are not healthy, how would the people live?. Therefore, people need to stay healthy first before taking food”.
“It is worthy to note that the Asian Licorice works on the acidity level of the human body. This is because, one of the causes of sickness is acidity.
“When it is high, it unbalance the Ph level which weakens the immune system and trigger illness, hence Emiral Elixir,” Chimezie said.
Also speaking, Emiral Ambassador, Ms Oshele Osioma, said that if Nigerian women were healthy, the country would be healthy, adding that the Elixir helped to balance the hormones of women facing hormonal imbalance.
” It also helps address men’s health including sexual health”.
Meanwhile, the Coordinator of Abuja Women Dance, Zainab Mohammed, called on the media to amplify the issues of mental health, adding that alternative medicine could boost mental health.
Mohammed recommended that caregivers should be trained at the grassroots to enhance their capacity to tackle the issue of mental health.
A Cancer Survivor, Dr Jophia Gupar, advised Nigerians to eat right and live a healthy life.
According to her, alternative medicine contributed to her overcoming leukemia.
Gupar encouraged people to be positive and do away with negative energy in times of illness. (NAN)
